Reconstruction of an existing traditional istrian house.
The house consists of two levels, and three architectural units- basement, first floor and the characteristic courtyard.
Location and the main form are intact. The emphasis is on traditional architectural elements, eventhough facades have their final coating, showing in some areas the original stone wall. Usage of wooden and metal elements and the renovation of the existing, old, stone walls as well as the refurbishment of the couryard have created a very particular architectural atmosphere that is even more apparent with the specially designed lighting, both in the interior and exterior.
Another, smaller holiday house was build in the immediate vicinity replicating the existing, specific element like wooden windows, doors and exposed wooden beams.
Interior design follows the same rustical style where the stone walls and wooden beams have both structural and decorative role. The house was designed to recreate the traditional lifestyle of the istrian peninsula.
Surrounding enviroment was carefully equipped with natural materials like stone and wood and decorated with adequate vegetation.
